So here's our rocking ass spring break in a nutshell...
Visited some friends in Austin for a very short weekend. Not the same with kids - no 6th Street madness. Oliver was a wild and crazy crank monster. He thought staying in a hotel was awesome, but he's not napping anymore so he was a MONSTER (just ask the friends we visited). Austin is so beautiful, but not so kid friendly. Every restaurant we hit seemed VERY annoyed we had kids. The weather was nice, but not hot enough for swimming (which we tried to plan everyday). Felt glad though, cause I'm a big 'ol rolly polly and wasn't looking forward to wearing my "maternity bikini". Last time I wore it Mike laughed at me. Lovely.
Rained on Tuesday so I stayed home to clean - can I say FUN? In need of maid - know of anyone?
Can't remember what we did on Wednesday. Guess it was that exciting.
Went to Jagi and Papa's (my parents) house on Thursday, after spoiling myself with a super relaxing mani/pedi. Oliver love's Jagi's - he begged me to go for two whole days before I got off my butt. Oliver had a blast playing with his cousins and getting spoiled from Jagi.
Went to Grandma Lou Lou and Grandpa Wally's on Friday. Another day we planned on swimming, but the heater in the pool didn't work. Instead, Mike and I spent over $100 on Easter stuff for Oliver at Target. When you look in the bag, it looks like we should have only spent $20. Seriously, how come that ALWAYS happens at Target? A basket full of nothing (or "crap" as Mike likes to call it) is ALWAYS $100. What? When we got back, Oliver was running a fever (of course he gets sick at the END of spring break). He's been coughing for two days, but we thought it was allergies. Oopps!
Spring Break isn't the same after kids, but I did enjoy hanging out with the family and NOT being at work. Wish it could last another week...
Next years plans - vacation with my hubby! Anyone up for babysitting?
