So, 2 years ago I set up a co-worker with my divorced brother-in-law. Now, they're getting married on April 19. The bride-to-be asked me to be in the wedding, although I'll be 37 weeks on the day of the wedding. I said yes, but really a pregnant bridesmaid just isn't cute (or fun). I wasn't too excited about being in the wedding in the first place, but what can ya do? The bride-to-be picked a cute two piece dress for the other gals and I tried on the maternity dress (which she wasn't too fond of). She ended up helping me pick an a-line dress with an empire waist that was 8 sizes bigger than my normal size. It looks almost like the 2 piece dresses the other bridesmaids are wearing. I was excited cause it was cute, but really a bit nervous about the fitting (how can you determine how a non-maternity dress will fit at 37 weeks). So, guess what! I picked up the dress today and at 32 weeks, it's SUPER FREAKING tight! Seriously, the seams were already stretched! What the f**k? Holy sh*t! There is NO WAY the dress will fit in 5 more weeks. My husband asked if they could make it bigger. Uh, no - where's the extra fabric I asked? So, now I have to (a) tell the already super stressed bride my dress doesn't fit and (b) cry over how muh I spent on a dress I won't be wearing, EVER! I guess this means I'm out of the wedding, right???
PS. I'll post a pic when I get one...
