We finally got a serious adult night out (seriously, no kids and no Lupe's) and it was F-U-N, fun! Got to hang out with the Dolars: childhood/high school/college buddies...yada, yada, yada - you get the picture. We've been friends a long time and really they're more like family. Michael and I were VERY excited about an adult night out, especially since having Leni Bean. The night in a nutshell: nice seafood dinner and LOTS of hotel bar martini's (Y-U-M-M-Y). Michael and I didn't stay out too late (reality check - have to feed baby every 3 hours), but we still had a good time. It's funny, cause no matter how much you get ready for and enjoy an adult night out - it ALWAYS becomes about the kids. We spent the night laughing and talking about nothing and everything, but mostly about our kids (they also have two kiddos). Potty training, temper tantrums, feeding schedules - you know, all the regular kid stuff. Life before kids: talked about getting drunk, latest fashion, music, etc. Life after kids: talk about poop, lawn care, mortgages, etc. My, my, how life changes. May seem boring to most, but really our lives are WAY more exciting than they use to be. On the way home, Michael and I couldn't wait to get home to see our babies. We missed them. ALOT.
